Elliott Erwitt: Studio Visit

Elliott Erwitt talks about his work in this three-minute video for TateShots.

TateShots visited Elliott Erwitt at his home in New York. In Elliott Erwitt: Studio Visit, he talks about his work. Released in 2012, the video is on the Tate channel and runs about 3 minutes. You can find it on YouTube under the title Elliott Erwitt – Studio Visit | TateShots.

Erwitt started taking photos at sixteen. Sixty-eight years later, he still hadn't stopped. The Magnum photographer's subjects included JFK and Marilyn Monroe, but he also took countless photos of dogs. His humor and his way of seeing things inspired a generation of photographers.

Erwitt's work was also included in Another London at Tate Britain. The exhibition explored the British capital through the eyes of several major figures in international photography.
